Our Mission

ABOUT

To change the narrative of Black wholeness and wellbeing by providing relatable, secure, and culturally sound wellness content, resources, and providers through access, collaboration, and education.

The ACE Philosophy™

APPROACH

Access to professional services is limited, especially in Black communities. Holistic health resources can help bridge these gaps by addressing the root causes of health disparities and providing culturally sensitive care. Our directory and initiatives can help you find licensed providers who are relevant and relatable.

01

Access

When you face challenges or setbacks, knowing that you have a community of people who care about your well-being can be immensely motivating and reassuring. This is why we believe in a community-centric model. By harnessing the power of collaboration, we can confidently drive growth, promote accountability, and foster knowledge sharing.

02

Collaboration

When it comes to making health-promoting decisions, having knowledge is crucial. Our programming focuses on dispelling myths and encouraging open conversations to change the way people view holistic health.

Education

Our Story

Our journey began with a vision to create a space where Black communities could come together, celebrate their unique identities, and embrace the transformative power of mental health and holistic well-being.

Our founder, driven by a deep passion for uplifting her community, embarked on a mission to shine a light on the paths of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment.

The heart of our initiative beats with the rhythm of affirmation decks - beautifully crafted cards that serve as daily reminders of self-love, resilience, and growth. These cards, infused with words of encouragement and wisdom, became the seeds of inspiration that sprouted into The Social Light Society.

We understand that mental health and wellness are not mere luxuries; they are essential, especially in a world that often fails to recognize the unique challenges faced by Black individuals and communities. That's why we are striving meticulously to curate a rich library of content, resources, and experiences, all designed to nurture your holistic well-being.

At The Social Light Society, we stand as a testament to the power of unity, empowerment, and resilience within the Black community. We are here to amplify your voice, honor your experiences, and break the barriers surrounding mental health disparities.

We invite you to be a part of our community, to embrace the love, support, and holistic resources that are rightfully yours.

Join us in illuminating the path to a brighter, healthier, and more complete life.

Together, we are

The Social Light Society,

and together, we shine brighter and stand stronger.
